Company Overview: The ADR Initiative
The ADR Initiative is Pakistan’s premier and pioneering Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) platform. Established with the mission to integrate modern dispute resolution mechanisms into Pakistan’s legal and commercial frameworks, the ADR Initiative has grown to become a leading institution in the field of ADR in Pakistan.
Pioneering ADR Education and Training
In 2018, the ADR Initiative introduced Pakistan’s first Commercial Mediation Courses, accredited by prestigious institutions such as the UK’s Civil Mediation Council (CMC), the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), and the International Mediation Institute (IMI). In partnership with ADR-ODR International, the ADR Initiative has since trained hundreds of mediators.
Since 2019, domestic ADR non-accredited courses were also introduced. Various educational institutes opted for workshops on ADR, basics of mediation, and arbitrations to be conducted for their law students.
In 2024, the ADR Initiative proudly announced a groundbreaking partnership with Crowther Mediation, uniting two leaders in dispute resolution to offer world-class Civil-Commercial Mediation courses. These courses, available both online and in-person, are accredited by the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) in the UK and the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
In 2025, ADR Initiative has been recognized by the International Mediation Institute (IMI) as a Certified Mediation Training Provider (CMTP) and is now an official provider of IMI-accredited mediation training online and in person in English, Urdu, Pushtu, Sindhi, and Punjabi.
Expanding ADR Expertise: Roster of Mediators
With the support of the Asia Foundation, the ADR Initiative launched Pakistan’s first Roster of Mediators which categorizes mediators according to their expertise in various industries, including commercial-corporate disputes, international disputes, family disputes, etc.
